Nosework

Nosework is a scent sport built on the dog’s nose. The dog learns to indicate specific odours and then searches them out — in containers, indoors, outdoors or on vehicles. It suits almost any dog, whatever its age, size or speed.

How it works

  1. The dog searches an area and indicates when it has found the odour.
  2. The handler reads the dog and calls the find to the judge.
  3. Time and faults decide the result — a wrong call costs.
  4. The four search elements are containers, interior, exterior and vehicles.
