Agility

Agility is a fast dog sport where handler and dog run an obstacle course against the clock. The course is jumps, tunnels, weaves and contact obstacles, and the dog runs free — the handler steers with body and voice alone. It is teamwork at speed that decides it.

How it works

  1. The judge designs the course, and handlers walk it without their dogs before the start.
  2. The dog runs the course in order, as fast and as cleanly as possible.
  3. Faults cost points: knocked bars, refusals, and time over the maximum.
  4. Classes are split by height at the withers (XS, S, M, L) so dogs meet their own size.
